Maricruz Gutierrez and Eduardo Munoz Obituary, TULARE COUNTY, Calif. — Maricruz Gutierrez and Eduardo Munoz, both of Tulare County, have been identified as the two people who died following a noted murder-suicide at a home in Woodville on Thursday.
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office stated deputies responded to the residence after receiving reports of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they determined two people inside the home suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both Gutierrez and Munoz were pronounced dead at the scene. Officials later identified the victims on Friday as the investigation continued into the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
Per to the sheriff’s office, investigators determined that Gutierrez and Munoz had been in a dating relationship. Authorities also said there had been previous domestic violence incidents involving the couple.
The sheriff’s office has described the fatal shooting as a murder-suicide. That said, spokespeople have not released additional details about what happened inside the home or what led to the shooting.
