William Hamilton Obituary, MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Dr. William Hamilton, an obstetrician who served patients through WVU Medicine Grant Memorial Hospital, has lost his life following a fatal single-vehicle crash in Monongalia County, West Virginia.
Based on to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred Wednesday on Route 7 near Dry Run Road. Deputies responding to the scene identified that Hamilton’s vehicle had struck a tree, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff’s office said the incident remains under investigation and that no additional details have been released at this time. Monongalia County EMS, along with the Brookhaven and Masontown Volunteer Fire Departments, responded to the crash.
Hamilton served as an obstetrician with WVU Medicine Grant Memorial Hospital, where he supplied care to patients as a visiting physician. His work focused on supporting expectant mothers and families through medical care and expertise.
