Timothy Eugene Dennis Obituary, LANCASTER, Ohio — Timothy Eugene Dennis, 56, passed away on August 19, 2026, surrounded by his family in Lancaster, Ohio. He was born on June 29, 1970, in Logan, Ohio.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 35 years, Angela Dawn Dennis, whom he described as the love of his life. He is also survived by his son, Damion Dennis (Katie); daughter, Ciarra Dennis (Anthony); mother, Carol Dennis (Leslie); brothers Randy Dennis (Carolyn) and Todd Dennis (Sarissa); father and mother-in-law John and Teresa Young; brother-in-law John Young II (Andrea); and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in passing by his father, Leslie Dennis; sister Shelly Seeber (Jack Seeber); grandfather Don Timmons; grandmother Winona; and sister-in-law Carolyn Dennis.
Throughout his life, Dennis was known for his selfless service to others. He courageously served in the United States Navy during Operation Desert Storm, later dedicating 15 years to serving his public as a Columbus firefighter and paramedic. In that role, he supported save countless lives through his work in emergency response.
Beyond his service to his country and community, Dennis was devoted to his loved ones. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and son. He was also a passionate world traveler and was described as emphatically devoted to his family and to his savior, Jesus Christ.
Funeral services for Dennis will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2026, at the Bishopville Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Hilltop Cemetery in Millfield, where a Firefighter Honor Guard Service will be conducted by the Columbus Division of Fire. A military graveside service will also be conducted by the United States Navy and the Combined Color Guard Unit.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the church and again one hour before the funeral service on Monday. Arrangements have been entrusted to Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville. Messages of comfort may be sent to the family through the tribute wall at www.morrisonfc.com.
